Wrapped in my cocoon
I sit here and wait
For dawn and release
Tis a long penance
Through the watches of the night
Filled with dreams
And also doubts
Visions of flitting among many many flowers
Drowning in their beauty and nectar
Of soaring far above the trees
Battling eagles and the breeze
Will my wings have the strength
For such a battle?
Or will my mind?
Maybe the light will answer the questions
That the long nights have posed
And reveal the many colors
That the darkness has hidden
Dawn will be bright
After the dark night is spent
And at dawn I will break free
Into greater life and glory
I sit here and wait
For dawn and release
Tis a long penance
Through the watches of the night
Filled with dreams
And also doubts
Visions of flitting among many many flowers
Drowning in their beauty and nectar
Of soaring far above the trees
Battling eagles and the breeze
Will my wings have the strength
For such a battle?
Or will my mind?
Maybe the light will answer the questions
That the long nights have posed
And reveal the many colors
That the darkness has hidden
Dawn will be bright
After the dark night is spent
And at dawn I will break free
Into greater life and glory
